Hello! I’m Ahrihn! I’m the little book addict who’s too impatient to wait…
So I decided to translate myself.
FYI, I don’t have an editor or team; I do everything, from TLing, editing, spell-checking, proofreading etc myself, so please be understanding of delays and small errors. BUT I do promise that every chapter I translate will be good quality (no unreadable MTL!!!).
By the way, I am a minor…
Like, I still live with my parents etc. So, I my update schedule may be a bit irregular, because I literally have no control over my private life + school. RL will interfere often… very sorry. ( T – T )
How do i translate?
I rely on machine translations and a Chinese dictionary to translate; I know literally nothing about Chinese, and I’m trying to learn the language as I go.
Naturally, as I’m using a machine translation, my stuff won’t be 100% accurate to the raws (to make it more fluent), but I will try to keep it as close as possible. Also, I will be checking every sentence with a Chinese dictionary to get a better understanding. Any feedback/tips will be greatly appreciated.
I plan to only translate novels that have been dropped by more talented others, have been picked up by a simply terrible translator using a pure MTL mishmash (I clean everything, bad grammar/vocab simply kills me), or the current translator is very slow (but only if I get permission first). If the previous or a new, more skilled translator picks them back up, I may drop the novels and leave them for the more skilled.
I will probably be a bit slow, as a single chapter can take a whole week or two of grind. If I do decide to work on a schedule, I have thrown darts at a map and picked (GMT+10) as my timezone (damn, I love numbers ending in 0).
I have had issues with my mental health and strain, and so will translate when I feel able to do so. Additionally, different novels will have different rates of translation and priority. Because I may translate some novels that already have an active translator, it’s better to subscribe here than to bookmark on NU (I personally recommend both).

What do i translate?
So far, I’m only planning to translate Chinese Danmei (and possibly GL in the future). Therefore, this is a LGBTQ+ friendly space. If ya’ll don’t like that, please take your torches elsewhere.
